Hello

I am a Florida based UX/UI Designer with a special love for research and a passion for learning. I enjoy putting my brain to work and solving complex problems in ways that are both unique and intuitive. With empathy at the forefront of my designs, I will always advocate what is best for the user and their needs.

 

Prior to becoming a UX/UI Designer I spent 5+ years in Social Media Marketing, working my way up from Intern to Project Manager. While I had a knack for analyzing metrics and synthesizing data/ insights, I found myself lacking the opportunity to express my creativity within the field. Whether it be drawing, sculpting, music or home decor, I have always gravitated towards art and design. That being said, I began my search for a new career and serendipitously came across UX Design. It's special blend of research, problem solving and creativity was like my own little holy trifecta of careers, and so I began my journey into the ambiguity that is UX.

I am an active learner and am always seeking new ways to expand upon my skills and better improve myself as an individual. My goal is to one day utilize my skillsets and knowledge gained through UX & systems design to affect positive change within the growth and development of my home country, Jamaica.

Outside of my career you can find me either going to the beach, playing tennis or enjoying morning snuggles with my cat, Mochi. I love sparking up a conversation and making connections old and new. Whether it be through active listening or self introspection, I always try to look at situations and conversations through the perspective of others.
